Reishi Grow Kit – Ganoderma lucidum

Reishi is a visually intriguing polypore whose naturally lacquered surfaces emphasize the brilliant rusty red and buttery yellow hues. Reishi is grown as a medicinal mushroom, they're dried for use in teas or tinctures. Reishi will grow outdoors on logs (depending on your area) or in sterilized sawdust.

Careful manipulation of light, temperature, humidity and CO2 levels present when fruiting occurs may determine which of the two forms the Reishi will take. The seashell-like CONCH shape develops in conditions with abundant light levels, high humidity, oxygen levels and airflow. The elegantly branched ANTLER shape forms in conditions where moderate light, high humidity, high CO2 levels and minimal airflow are present.

Reishi mushroom is cultivated and sold as a food, but it may be tough and bitter. When taken for health reasons, it is usually dried or taken as an extract, such as in the form of Liquid, Capsule or Powder. It can trigger side effects and may interact dangerously with some medications. Talk to your doctor before taking reishi mushroom.
