A Good Day to Bake

Last night we had our first taste of winter, only a couple of centimetres of snow. With the house being chilly I decided to bake. I had picked up a bag of apples at the market the other day, so I decided to bake an Apple Crumble.

This is my Moms recipe, it may even be one of my Grandmas. Try it, it’s simple, easy to make and delicious.

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (packed) mix together the sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg

Next in a bowl mix together and sprinkle over the apple mixture in the pan

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup shortening Cut in shortening, until it is a fine crumbly texture.

Instructions
