To freeze your Mushrooms for future use, clean, slice, and lay the mushrooms on a cookie sheet. Space the mushrooms out so they’re not touching. Place your pan of mushrooms in the freezer overnight. Once frozen, simply transfer the mushrooms to a plastic freezer bag. If you’d like to pre-cook your mushrooms, you can sauté fresh mushrooms, let them cool slightly, and freeze them in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
When preparing mushrooms from a frozen, do not thaw them. Heat your oil in a pan and cook mushrooms in the hot oil for 30 seconds. Remove the mushrooms from the heat and let them finish cooking on their own using the stored heat.
